Third Trimester (Week 28)

Wow... how time flies! Hello everybody. This past week I just entered the third trimester. Can you believe that? According to some websites I think I might weigh about 2 pounds now and the size of a Napa Cabbage. I can even blink my eyes and even see some light from the outside world. I just can't wait until I can see what mommy, daddy, and everyone looks like!

This past week was sure a whirl wind. The 28th week sure was not a week for rest. Mommy and daddy were busy as can be. They started the week off by registering for my baby shower. Thanks Auntie Lori for helping mommy! Then they went to a series of perinatal classes (lamaze classes). The way Huntington Hospital (that's where I plan to be born) offers these classes is that they let the parents pick and choose which courses they would like to take instead of a whole series of predesigned courses. So on Monday night they went to a class on the hospital birth experience...that was kind of overwhelming and a little scary. Sometimes the less you know, the better. Tuesday...Yay! I experienced my first Lakers game. It was opening night at the Staples Center and the way everyone sounded... I think they won. Wednesday night mommy and daddy went to a class describing labor. That too was pretty overwhelming. Thursday night was a class about daddy supporting mommy during this whole process. He learned how to massage and comfort mommy. I hope he does a good job! Otherwise I think he'll be in trouble. Sunday was the tour of the hospital. That was pretty cool! Huntington Hospital sure is pretty. Everything is coming really fast now! Well, it was a super duper busy week and I'm pretty tired now so I'll talk to everyone later!

Babymoon in Maui! (Week 24)

Hello everybody! Long time no talk. Well, to catch everybody up with how I'm coming along.... I'm doing great! According to a lot of different websites I think I weigh about a pound or so. I really don't know, all I know is that I keep on growing! Since we last talked, my mommy and daddy have now both felt me kick. I think they were both pretty excited to know that I was alive and kicking (literally). I don't see what all the fuss is about...I'm just moving my little legs and arms around to stretch....what's the big deal?

Well to mark this momentous occasion of having a baby and also to celebrate their 2 year wedding anniversary, my daddy planned a "babymoon" to Maui. I think they both needed to get away. I think they were getting a little stressed out with life and all. So we were off to Maui and I journeyed on my first airplane ride across the Pacific and landed in paradise. I'm keeping my tiny fingers crossed that this won't be the last time. Please mommy and daddy!

The babymoon couldn't have come at a more opportune time. Mommy and daddy just spent the last few weeks moving to a new place and that wore them out thoroughly. This trip was truly a much needed rest especially for my mommy. So basically, all my mommy and daddy did was relax and enjoy the views. Although, we did wake up early one morning (2:30AM) to trek up to the summit of Haleakala Crater to see the sunrise. It was freezing up there! Me and mommy spent a lot of the time waiting in the car wrapped up in a blanket to keep warm, while daddy was outside taking pictures and saving a spot for us :) Other than that we just laid out at the beach or pool and ate really well. Check my daddy's other blog Mr. Gohan for updates on our meals in Maui. I think he will post them in a couple of weeks, he takes a long time to write those things :) So that's about it. I'll talk to you guys in a few weeks. Mommy is approaching the third trimester soon!

Sun Bathing
There I am basking in the sun at Makena Beach. This beach was absolutely beautiful. My mommy had to go buy that swim shirt and cover up because she was getting sun burnt and she didn't want me to fry up.

My first dip in the Ocean!
This was the first time I got to experience the flow of the ocean waves. I loved it! I hope that my mom and dad aren't overly protective when I get older and allow me to scuba dive with them and the rest of the family.

My First Sunrise

There's mommy and daddy at the summit of Haleakala taking in the breathtaking views that mother nature had to offer. Do you see how my mommy is all wrapped up with that blanket? It was freezing up there. It was 4o degrees. Good thing my mommy took the blanket from the hotel and was prepared. I'm sure the hotel didn't appreciate us taking the blankets up there though :) Well, I appreciated it and that's what counts. I got to experience my first sunrise (kind of). From my vantage point inside my mommy's tummy it was actually pretty dark :)

OMG!!! Half Way There (Week 20)

Hello everyone! This blog entry signifies the 20th week, although the pictures and video of me are when I was 19 weeks. Half way there. I'm growing by the day now and can't wait to meet everyone. My mommy's tummy is finally starting to show now. People still have a hard time believing that my mom is already 5 months pregnant. Both of them are feeling pretty excited and nervous. Mommy is still having some food aversions. She's lost her appetite towards eating pieces of meat, but my daddy (Mr. Gohan) is still eating his heart out :) Last week my mommy and daddy went to the doctor and they got a Huge Surprise! To make a long story short....about 6weeks ago, the doctor and nurse thought that I was going to be a boy. So everyone was expecting a boy, but Surprise! The doctor confirmed last week that I'm a girl. That's right.... a princess in the making (^_^) . Mommy and daddy were surprised to say the least. But that's enough about my parents... according to the doctor I'm doing just fine and I'm healthy as can be. So far so good, I've past all my tests with flying colors so far. My parent's are hoping that this will continue for the next 20+ years or so. Bye for now.

Introducing Baby Gohan! (Week 13)

Something's cookin! Introducing "baby gohan", well not yet. We'll have to wait several more months until I am born, but the much anticipated wait of actually finding out that my parents were pregnant was a definite whirl wind. My mom and dad had taken a home pregnancy test two weeks prior to the first doctor visit, but it really didn't feel "official" until my parents visited a doctor to confirm.... and confirm she did! YES.... I do exist!!!

My daddy, "Mr. Gohan" and mommy "Mrs. Gohan" thought perhaps that they were about 9 weeks pregnant, but to everyone's surprise they got their first look of me via an ultrasound and the doctor said "baby gohan" was about 13 weeks. WOW!!!! I'll keep everyone up to date on how I am coming along and I'll also tell you how my crazy parents are doing. One thing is for certain though.... I know that I'll be loved ! Also I know I'll be forced to be a Lakers fan =) I can't wait until I get to meet everyone!
